WWE Live Event Results from Rotterdam April 17, 2013: John Cena vs. Ryback and More

Thanks to WrestlingInc.com reader Jordi Heemskerk in these results from last night's WWE Live Event in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

This was the first show of the company's overseas tour, and WWE's first time back in the Netherlands after 21 years and it was a blast. The arena was almost full with far more then 8,000 fans.

Before the show there was greet and meet with Tensai, Brodus Clay, and The Funkadactyls

1.) Zack Ryder vs. Heath Slater
Ryder won after hitting the Rough Ryder. The matched lasted about 5 minuets Slater gained good heat and Ryder got a decent pop and about the entire crowd wooed along with him after the match. For a moment, you could hear Fandango's theme song going in the crowd, but it didn't last more than a few seconds, and wasn't too loud.

After the match Justin Roberts told us we could vote on twitter to decide whether Dolph Ziggler's match against Daniel Bryan should be for the World Heavyweight Championship Next.

2.) R-Truth vs. Antonio Cesaro
After about ten minuets, Truth hit the What's Up! for the victory. The match was pretty good, but it suprised me Cesaro didn't win. Apparently heel's aren't allowed to win matches at house shows. Cesaro got a lot of heat, and the whole crowd chanted along with R-Truth's "What's Up!".

After the match, we got to see a promo from Ziggler on the Titantron. It was probably pre-taped, but it was an okay promo nonetheless. Dolph was showing off his World Heavyweight Title and talked about his match later in the night against Daniel Bryan.

3.) The Bella Twins and Tamina vs. The Funkadactyls and Kaitlyn
The crowd was dead during the entrances of Tamina Snuka and the Funkadactyl and Kaitlyn got a very small pop only, but during the match, the crowd was fully behind the faces, who ended up picking up the win after a little less then ten minutes, after a spear from Kaitlyn. Naomi seemed to botch the ending a little, as all the divas runned into the ring in turns, but she just rolled out, instead of waiting until one of The Bellas threw her out.

4.) William Regal vs. Michael McGillicutty
Regal got a very loud pop when he came out, but must of the crowd clearly had no idea who McGillicutty was. They played the crowd for a very long time, but there was only about three minuets of actual wrestling. Regal won with his knee strike.

5.) World Heavyweight Championship Match
Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
Ziggler got booed by most of the crowd, but a small, yet vocal part cheered him loudly. Bryan was over with the entire crowd, and everyone was chanting 'yes' during about the entire match. The match lasted 15 minuets, and was the best of the night. In the end, Ziggler won with the ZigZag, after a distraction from AJ. After the match, Ziggler started to taunt Bryan, who locked in the No-Lock, and chanted 'yes' with the entire crowd afterwards.

6.) Tons of Funk vs. Team Rhodes Scholars
Damien Sandow drew alot of heat when Rhodes was in. After about ten minutes, Brodus Clay hit his splash for the win.

7.) Kane vs. Big E Langston
After about three minuets, Kane hits his comeback moves, but when he went for the Chokeslam, Dolph Ziggler came running in. Daniel Bryan followed seconds later, and that promped Vickie Guerrero to come out and change the match into a tag team match.

8.) Team Hell vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston
Team Hell No picks up the victory after a chokeslam/flying headbutt combination. After the match Bryan got on mic, and said that since he did all the work Kane should give him Kane's title belt since they had only one title belt with them in the ring. Kane refused, and they got into an arguement. They hugged it out, but Bryan ended up running away with the belt anyway. The two matches combined lasted around ten minutes.

9.) Tables Match for the WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Ryback
Ryback got cheered quite loudly, but I think that was most because of the fact that majority of the fans in attendance probably didn't watch Raw or SmackDown. His reaction was nowhere near Cena's however. In the beginning, the "Let's Go Cena" chants were just a bit louder than the "Cena sucks," but as the match went on, they gained more and more dominance. There were still a lot of "Feed Me More" chants, however, and Fandango's theme song also showed up again, as well a small "Goldberg" chant. The match itself was pretty underwhelming, it didn't even last ten minutes, and ended when Cena managed to slip off of Ryback's shoulders as Ryback was going for Shellshock. Cena then hit the AA through a table.

Overall, the show was lots of fun, but the main event disappointed. CM Punk was supposed to be in it, but he wasn't there, of course. The crowd was clearly in favor of the faces.
